Audi A4

The new Audi A4 is unmistakably a personality. Striking lines define the classic saloon silhouette. The continuous shoulder line and long bonnet give the car its stretched appearance and a dynamic feel to the design. The powerful car body suggests a self-assured, sporty character, the stretched roof line accentuates its elegance.

In its design, the new A4 reveals its sporty, progressive character: taut and dynamic in its outlines, it speaks the language of technical perfection. When compared with the previous model, the A4 has new, sporty proportions. The front body overhang has been drastically shortened; the bonnet and wheelbase are both longer than before.

The petrol engines in the A4 are equipped with FSI® or TFSI®, technologies that have been tried and tested in motorsport. In FSI® engines, fuel is injected into the combustion chamber in precisely metered quantities. This provides for efficient combustion and improved petrol utilisation. TFSI® combines FSI® with a turbocharger to deliver even more power. Petrol models are available as both four- and six-cylinder versions. The range at model launch extends from 118 kW (160 bhp) to 195 kW (265 bhp).

A special valve timing system, the Audi valvelift system, reduces internal friction in the 3.2 FSI engine, thus reducing fuel consumption – but not power! As a result, the most powerful model, the A4 3.2 FSI, with its torque rating of 330 Nm, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds
